Emu

Emus are large, flightless birds with grey-brown plumage, long legs and long necks, similar to an ostrich. Unlike most birds, Emus have only three toes. During breeding the male builds a nest in a shallow hollow in the ground and incubates the females eggs. A female Emu may mate with numerous males over a few days so may hatch eggs fathered by different males!
