Experience Days

A unique opportunity to meet some of our zoo animals up close and personal. Help prepare their food and learn all about them.

Each experience lasts up to 45 minutes with approximately 20-30 minutes interacting with the animals!

Whilst every effort is made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this cannot always be achieved – contact Smithills Open Farm before purchasing.

MEERKAT EXPERIENCE

Our Meerkats are naturally curious and very friendly, something you’ll witness first-hand as you head into their enclosure. Armed with a bowl of their favourite foods, you’ll be able to feed some of the more inquisitive members of the mob!

Our expert staff will be on hand to guide you through the interaction, answer any questions you might have and give you some intriguing insights into life behind the scenes working with these amazing animals.

This experience is for 2 people with a total cost of £100, you will receive a hands on experience feeding the Meerkats. – Includes farm admission for participants.

LEMUR EXPERIENCE

This experience is for 2 people with a total cost of £100, you will receive a hands on experience feeding the Lemurs. – Includes farm admission for participants.
