Groups
Smithills Open Farm is a great educational hands-on experience for children of all ages. Located in the beautiful Smithills countryside, we provide an educational and exciting experience for all, giving children the opportunity to learn as well as enjoy themselves with lots of activities for them to take part in. Whatever the weather this will be an exciting day for children and adults alike.
Group ticket prices
Accompanying adults are free at a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 children. This price includes a donkey ride for each child as well as a tractor and trailer ride. Any adults above this ratio are charged at £11.00 each. Groups must be booked in advance.

Education
Here at Smithills Open Farm, we love to have school visits. Since we opened in spring 2000 we have had lots of schools, nurseries and other organised groups visit us with large groups of children in tow.
Children of all ages, too. Some come from miles away, just to say hello, feed and cuddle our lovely animals. As members of Farms for Schools, we encourage schools to link with the curriculum. In particular foundation stage KS1 and KS2. We are more than happy to help you get the best out of your visit. When booking, please talk to us about your requirements.
Other groups
We not only take bookings during the day for schools or nurseries but we can also take evening bookings for Brownies, Cubs, etc.
For a minimum of 15 children.
We can organise a trip for the time of their normal group meeting and can stay open until 8pm.
Same activities as on the group booking info sheet attached previously.
However please note depending on the age of the children donkey rides may not be available.
